Sex Pistols To Eclipse Rolling Stones' Ferry At Isle Of Wight Festival
Members of the Sex Pistols will fly to this weekend's Isle of Wight Festival in private helicopters , it's been revealed.
The band, who are headlining the event alongside Kaiser Chiefs and The Police, apparently decided they needed to arrive in style after hearing that last year's headliners, The Rolling Stones, arrived by charted ferry.
“There’s nothing to beat the view of the Isle Of Wight from the skies when you’re on your way to play to that fantastic crowd. Johnny and the band were well up for the idea of helicopters,” a source told the Daily Star.
The Isle of Wight Festival begins today and is seen by many as the official start to the UK festival season.
As Gigwise revealed yesterday (June 12th), forecasters are predicting a mixture of sunshine and showers for the weekend, and cooler temperatures than recent weeks.

Fines R Us
The Federal Communications Commission may fine toy retailer Toys 'R' Us $248,000
for "willfully and repeatedly" violating a requirement that they place a label on
analog-only TV sets warning consumers that they will not be able to receive signals
on them from February. The FCC said that it had issued eight warnings to the toy
chain warning that labels in large type must be prominently displayed next to all
analog-only sets. The commission also proposed a fine of $216,000 against another
retailer, Value City, which had previously received two warning notices.
